I'm Mack, the owner and operator of Bend Iron.

 

Growing up, I watched my grandfather and my dad build, fix, and create things that outlasted them. I always admired steel and the way those structures could stand the test of time.

 

After graduating high school, I tried the college route, but quickly realized I was better suited to making a living with my hands.

 

I headed north to the oil fields of North Dakota, where I got my first real introduction to rigorous hours, extreme weather, and unparalleled manual labor. The fabrication shop I worked for built everything from drill bits to platform stands that supported and operated oil rigs. I took to the work like a fish to water.

After the oil market crashed, I made my way back to Bend and shifted my trade into operating and repairing heavy equipment.

As time has gone on, so has my knowledge and passion for fabrication. More than a decade later, my drive to build, design, and weld has only continued to grow.
